This is Noctua, an awesome Noctow/Gengar I got from Velnyx!  Look at her happy spoopy self~

Noctua was a bit of a challenge to name—I was going for a purple gem name at first, but wasn’t satisfied with anything I came up with, so on a whim I looked to see if there were any owl constellations (we were in the Outer Banks at the time and had been stargazing, so…).  Turns out, there used to be an owl constellation called Noctua—apparently, there’s such a thing as extinct constellations (so keeping that list for future use).  So Noctua is named after a ghost-owl constellation.

Did her initial design and on a whim added the star patterns on her wings, which might have prompted the star name—definitely prompted using a Mutant Poffin on her to get the Variant trait.

Noctua was also one of the last ones I was able to work with on the Cintiq before this issue cropped up—I’m going to try one more time, and if this doesn’t work, I’m sending it to Wacom and saying fix this mess.

Background:

Weaton was walking by Moonlit Meadows one day—heard a car crash—wait, who’s driving a car out here in the wasteland—

“Hey, Weaton! Catch!”

Weaton was subsequently squashed by a big purple thing.  This has brought “revenge on Lindsey” back up on his list of things to do. Next time, Lindsey….

Noctua is creepy and enjoys it, and is perpetually smiling at everyone—even the ones she plans on eating….She finds Weaton amusing though, so at least there’s that.

Diet:

Extreme omnivore trending to carnivore. She likes her tea, too, for some reason.
