:sing:Well it’s Saturday night and we're in the spot—don’t believe me just watch!

*ahem* Anywho….It is Saturday—time for Yu-Gi-Oh! :la:

More from Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Millennium Puzzle—this would take place after the initial story arc (the one that follows the Mask movie). I find it odd that my sketches from three years ago are cleaner than the ones now….Although I had to do some touch-up in Photoshop, as apparently I forgot to clean my scanner before scanning this in. :|

Anyway—more messing with action moments for Yami—as you can see by comparing him with the other characters, he’s much more animated (in every sense of the word) than the others. Kind of odd, considering the animated conversation Kelsey and Joey seem to be having....

This is also the first time I ever drew Charlie from The Mask, I think—I had drawn Ipkiss before, in a version of this story set in New Orleans (I revisit it on occasion, and I enjoy how rich it looks in my mind, but I can’t get the story to go anywhere). Here, I think I drew him from memory….Yugi has overheard Charlie announcing that he’s now bank manager (which occurs in the Mask cartoon as well), prompting Yami to throw his two cents in—there’s a common thread in my Yu-Gi-Oh! stories that feature Yami tethered to the Puzzle: that Yami doesn’t need to fully take over for him to shoot his mouth off—although Yugi doesn’t like this, understandably.

And then there’s the first meeting with the big, silent bruiser known as Walter….He also hails from The Mask comic, in both incarnations (the darker original and the lighter Adventures comic), and also appears as a regular in the cartoon—he’s actually pretty necessary, as he’s the only one who can regularly give the Mask a run for his money.

Is that it? That’s it—now back to school so I can finish and start assembling my new computer! :woohoo:
