Peanuts--Happiness Is...

Did you think I was done?

My other entry for the Rising-Artists prompt “Happiness.” And when I saw the theme, the first thing I thought was “Happiness is…a warm blanket. Happiness is…a warm puppy.” Both of which are attributed to the comic strip Peanuts.

Since I was trying for the comic’s look, I didn’t try for shading, or for clean fill—the latter of which really ended up bugging me, because I really wanted to fill in the lines properly. I resisted, and I think the end result kind of has a scribbly look to it.

So here’s Linus with his warm blanket, and Charlie Brown with his warm puppy, and Snoopy with the best of both worlds. At least until Linus notices….
